Jon OR Kate Plus 8

"The show must go on," Kate Gosselin of "Jon & Kate Plus 8" said on the episode where her split from her husband, Jon, was revealed. Usually, that line elicits admiration, as when an actor sprains his ankle but perseveres in the dance number anyway. This time, maybe not so much. TLC's hugely popular reality show is going on hiatus, to return with the parents alternating time with their telegenic brood. And amid the obvious interest, some fans are wondering whether the "8" should even be on television anymore.

PRESCRIPTION: Let Jon and Kate start to date other people and bring them onto the show! That should garner enough drama for this show to last a very long time.

Gay Boys Know How to Make it Last

Perez Hilton followed through on statements his lawyer made on Tuesday and sued Black Eyed Peasmanager Liborio "Polo" Molina for assault after Monday's alleged altercation.   In a related development, Hilton issued a statement apologizing for uttering an anti-gay slur against Will.I.Am during the incident.

PRESCRIPTION:   This story has all the makings for for a publicist pie:
  1. seize an opportunity to blow a situation WAY out of proportion
  2. make sure the opportunity involves people more famous than you
  3. bake until story builds some traction
  4. before story is completely done, file a lawsuit, issue an apology
  5. when popularity drops cook up some more publicist pie
